Delete your Food Roulette account
This page explains how to delete your account and your data in the Food Roulette app, which is made by Viktor Komaretskii PR Vrcin. You can do it in the app, or by email if you don't have the app.
To keep your account and delete only some of your data, see Delete only some of your data.
In the app
Deleting needs internet, signed in or not.
If you are signed in
- Open any tab (Week, Roulette, Shopping or Food).
- Tap the person icon at the top right (Profile).
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete.
If you are not signed in
- Open any tab and tap the person icon at the top right (Profile).
- Under Account, tap Delete my data.
- Confirm with Delete.
What deleting removes
It happens at once on our server. Any other phone you signed in on clears its copy the next time the app on it connects to our server.
- Your email address and name.
- Your own dishes (with their cooking plans and the recipe texts you sent), ingredients, saved week plans and daily targets.
- Your shares: their codes and links stop working.
- Your place in a household.
- Every sign-in, on every phone.
- The records of sign-in codes sent to your address.
The phone you deleted from starts again as a new, empty user.
What stays
- Copies other people already saved from your shares are theirs.
- If your household has other members, the household and its plans stay with them. Your name is taken off the meals you were to cook. Meals that used your own dishes show Dish unavailable instead. A meal on your copy of a common dish can show another member's copy or the common dish. If you owned the household, the member who joined next becomes the owner.
- A household plan that another member shared keeps its copies of your dishes until that member revokes the share.
- If you were the last member of the household, the household and its plans are deleted with your account.
- The last 14 nightly backups are kept, so a deleted account's data can stay in a backup for about two weeks, longer if the server was off some nights.
- If you wrote to us, we keep your email as long as needed to answer it and to keep a record of data requests.
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data isn't linked to your account. It expires under Google's retention rules.

Without the app
Write to support@klikerstudio.com from the address you sign in with. Use the subject Delete my account.
We delete the account within 30 days and reply when it's done.
If you write from a different address, we first send a confirmation request to the account's address.
Never signed in?
Nothing links your data to an email address, so we can't find it from a message. Delete it in the app with Delete my data before you uninstall.
Delete only some of your data
You can keep your account and delete things one at a time, signed in or not, though you need to be signed in to have a name or a household. Each needs internet and happens at once on our server. Your other phones catch up the next time the app on them connects to it.
- A dish: in Food, tap Dishes, then Mine, and open the dish. Tap the trash icon at the top right and confirm with Delete. Its cooking plan goes with it, and meals that used it show Dish unavailable.
- A cooking plan: open the dish the same way, tap Delete cooking plan and confirm with Delete. The dish and its ingredients stay.
- An ingredient: unless it's your copy of a common ingredient, take it out of your dishes first: a dish still using it drops out of the app but stays on our server. Then in Food, tap Ingredients, then Mine, open the ingredient and tap the trash icon at the top right. Dishes using a copy go back to the common one.
- A week plan: in Week, tap the three dots on the plan's card, then Delete, and confirm with Delete. Its shopping-list ticks go with it. A household plan goes for everyone in the household.
- A share: tap the person icon at the top right (Profile), then My shares. Tap the X on its row and confirm with Revoke. Its code and link stop working.
- Your daily targets: in Roulette, tap Daily targets, then Reset to defaults and Save targets.
- Your name: in Profile, tap Your name, then Remove name. Your household then sees your email address instead.
- Your place in a household: in Profile, tap Household, then Leave household, and confirm with Leave. The household and its plans stay with the other members, and meals that used your dishes show Dish unavailable. If you're the last member, the household ends and its plans become your own.
If you don't see a delete button
- Dishes and ingredients under Common belong to the app, so you can't delete them. If you changed one, you have your own copy under Mine. You can delete that, and the common one stays in the app.
- Dishes and ingredients that came with a plan shared with you, and that you haven't saved, go when you delete that plan.
- A dish shared with its own ingredients can be read-only. Then you can delete the dish, but not its cooking plan on its own. Its ingredients aren't in your list, and they go once no dish of yours uses them.
- Another household member's dish is theirs, so only they can delete it.
- Your email address and the records of sign-in codes go only when you delete your account.
What stays after you delete something
- A share keeps its own copy, so deleting a dish, an ingredient or a plan doesn't stop a share of it. Revoke the share as well. Copies people already saved stay with them.
- A household plan that another member shared keeps its copies of your dishes until that member revokes the share.
- In a household plan, a meal on your copy of a common dish can show another member's copy or the common dish instead of Dish unavailable.
- What you delete can stay in a nightly backup for about two weeks, longer if the server was off some nights.
- Our server keeps its reply each time you add, share or import something, or ask for a change to a cooking plan, so the same request sent twice can't create a duplicate. That reply can hold what you deleted. It stays for at least 24 hours, then goes the next time you do one of those things, or when you delete your account.
